Old Texas Miniland & The Opera

The last of our staycation.  We went back to the Arboretum where they also have an Old Texas miniland play area.  The kids can play in any of the old houses or wagons.  It's pretty cool.  We had a lot of fun.  B's friend, Nadim, and his mom, Jihane, invited us all to join them for the opera.  I know, sounds like a weird invitation for a kid, right?  But the show was Jack and the Bean Stalk.  It was actually pretty cool.  B got pretty excited about it.  S looked bored out of his mind, but at the end he knew exactly what his favorite part was, "When Jack pretended to be a ghost when he was hiding from the giant."  E was dancing in my lap to the music and clapping.  N and I, on the other hand, were terrified out of our minds.  We had 5th story balcony, front row seats about 200 feet up and the guard rail was only 12 inches high.  We were soooo afraid someone was going to fall!
