Our House and Garden

And here is our house!!! We are so happy and grateful to have it. We are very blessed. We've also planted our first garden. Nat put a fence of sticks around it to keep Miss Sasha out! It's worked very well. And with the warm weather and all the rain our plants are really thriving. Especially the peas, radishes, and tomatoes. We are very excited. We go inspect and admire our garden everyday. (For anyone wondering who the lady is in front of our house it's Sister Copeland, who so kindly let us stay with her until we were able to move into our own home.)

Sasha

We adopted a beautiful Icelandic Shepherd here in Virginia. We've named her Sasha. She tricked us into thinking she was quiet and obedient! For the most part we love her--just not when she's tearing up our back yard! (We think we've got that remedied now. We hope!)

Living Room Repairs!!!

The house we moved into is darling, but needs plenty of work. Not only were the color schemes outrageous but a lot of the workman ship was rather shoddy. But we've had fun working on things and making them more to our taste--even if it is taking A LOT longer than anticipated!
The primer is finally on. We hope to get to the actual painting here soon!

Washington D.C. Temple

We took a trip to New England to visit one of Nat's good friends and stopped at the D.C. Temple on our way home. It was really great to be back. I hadn't been there since a Youth temple trip the summer our family left Ohio. Unfortunately, our camera batteries died so this is the only picture we were able to get.

Yorktown

Yorktown is one of the original settlements here in Virgina. It is so pretty and peaceful. The first time we visited there I really felt like Virginia was home.

France

We spent our first wedding anniversary this January in France. We had a wonderful time visiting the tourist sites as well as visiting Nat's family and friends.

Virginia

As everyone knows we moved to Virginia on February 15th and Nat started his new job as the Hampton Fed Ex manager on the 16th. We've really been enjoying it here. It is so beautiful and green. Our first month here we stayed in Seaford with Kilja Copeland a sister from church. This gave us time to look for a house.

On March 21st we moved into our new home in Hampton. We're only 5 minutes from Nat's work! It's great. We've been kept busy with painting and other repair projects as well as planting our first garden! We even adopted a dog, Sasha, who is usually sweet, but sometimes has major attitude problems! Overall we are really loving it here.
