Too Funny!

The other day I got a letter from BYU in the mail. I expected it to be one of those notes requesting donations from alumni, so I didn't open it and left it on the counter. This morning Nat opened it and started reading it to me. It was the department of Church History and Doctrine requesting the exclusive copyright on a paper I'd written on LDS Church History in Iceland! Boy, was I surprised! I spent a lot of time researching for that paper, but I didn't think it was that amazing. Anyway, I laughed right out loud, but I have to admit it was flattering. So, I have given the rights to BYU and in addition to to the printed copy that will be kept in the special collections department at the Harold B. Lee Library it will eventually be put on The Global Mormonism Website: globalmormonism.byu.edu (though I have no idea when that will be.) Too funny!

Meet Our Kitties

We decided to get some kittens. Last year when we had our dog, we didn't realize that she'd been keeping our garden safe from the rabbits and birds until after she was gone. Darn it! So, we thought we would try cats and see if they would run the other creatures off instead. We'll see! They both love Nat! Whenever he comes outside they run straight for him.

This is Ginger, she's a total scaredy cat! She'll probably be more afraid of the rabbits than not, but it was worth a shot! They're cute anyway!
This is Pocahontas, she's our adventurous one.

For Shannon

Okay Shannon, here is the "belly shot" you've been asking for. I'm posting this just for you. I know I look tired, I was! It was 9:30 Saturday night and I'd just gotten home from work. Nat had me tighten up my shirt for the picture 'cause he said you couldn't see my belly at all if I didn't, so if anyone thinks I wear my shirt funny it's not normally that way. It's just for the picture. =) But there I am with our little boy!

We've been doing good. Nat had a week of vacation last week. I ended up getting to take 3 days off with him which was an unexpected piece of good luck. I broke out in rashes on my hands and feet and blisters all over my middle finger. That was very painful I might add! The Dr. didn't know what happened, but it made it so I got to stay home for a few days with my sweetheart. So, it worked out well! But, tomorrow my tired Nat who spent his vacation doing home improvement projects has to head back to work.

Bathroom Renovations

Our bathroom is looking so much better! Here are some pictures of when work started on the ugly bathroom, Nat working on the bathroom, and the result so far. Nat still has a little more work to do on it, but doesn't it look great so far?

Misc.

We are in the process of having our bathroom remodelled! We are so excited. 3 walls were molded behind the bathtub--not very sanitary. So, we decided to have it redone. Not only will it be without mold but it will be pretty! It was so ugly before. The people who owned this house before us had the most outrageous color schemes I have ever seen. We'll put up pictures of our new and improved bathroom soon. Nat's working hard today painting it so we can get the sink and toilet back in.

What else? Well, last week our library director was fired. That was interesting. Apparently there was some mismanagement of funds, so one day we came to work and she was packing her office and gone by afternoon. It was a big surprise. In addition to the Reference Desk and the Programming, I am now cataloging the books as well. It's been fun to learn something new. It keeps me very busy, which helps make the days go faster.
