Good Buddies

Look at these good buddies. If I ever have to put S in the playpen because I need to do something like take a shower where I can't keep an eye on him, I always come back to find that B has climbed in with him and they're wrestling or playing together. So cute!!!

Candle Light

This past week was wonderful. Nat and I went out twice! We hadn't been out on a real date just the two of us since Valentine's. The first night we went to see the latest Harry Potter which was fun. And Saturday night he surprised me with another date -- he even arranged for the babysitter-- and took me out for a candlelit dinner at an amazing little Italian restaraunt. It was very nice just to be the two of us for a little bit and really quite romantic. When we got home S was sleeping but B was still up and happy as he could be with the babysitter. When she left he asked "X gives a kissie?" then planted one right on her lips! It was darling.

Little Engineers

This video is my absolute favorite. Our little train engineers are so darling. B is so excited he's singing. That's the "lalalala" you hear him doing. He always sings when he's really happy. And S wanted to play with B so badly he learned how to pull himself up to the train table. You can see how thrilled he is. Aren't our boys adorable? I love it when they are happy.

Birthday Video

He's Two!

I can't believe B's second birthday has already come and gone! It's been so fun having our sweet little man around. He asked for a chocolate birthday cake and wanted to blow the candles out again and again. We celebrated first thing in the morning so he could get as much enjoyment out of the day as possible. He absolutely adored his train set. He now takes his trains to bed with him. He also liked the books and clothes from his aunts and grandparents. B also celebrated with his nursery friends on his birthday. We took cupcakes to church with him and the kids were all very excited.

Tamales

I made fresh tamales!!! I was very proud of how they turned out, so I had to just brag a little bit. It took over 5 hours to do, but the house smelled soooo good. I couldn't wait to try them. And they tasted as good as they smelled! These tamales in the picture are not mine, but mine were almost as pretty. We got too excited and ate them all before I thought to take a picture.

Out and About

It was quite a hot, though a beautiful day so I brought along a bottle for S though he'd never taken a bottle before and he was quite delighted with it. I love his little rosy red cheeks.

Hot and exhausted, completely out in the stroller.

This picture actually breaks my heart. B was as happy as could be when about 20 kids ages 2-7 came riding down the road on their tricycles and bikes with their moms. He was so excited he started yelling "Bikes!!!" and took off running with a great big happy smile to where the other kids had just all parked their bikes. Not knowing any of the moms and how they'd react I stopped him from joining the group. From that point on I couldn't get him interested in anything. He just sat on that bench watching the kids with the bikes. It just killed me! I should've let him join the group. I was just so unsure of how to do.

Playing in the gravel and as content as could be.

And here he's got a stick. What more does a boy need besides some rocks and a stick to be happy? (Well, other than a bike.)

I absolutely love this picture of Sebastien peeking over the side of the stroller watching everything. He's so adorable!

July 4th

I have other 4th of July pictures, but they're on another camera card and I don't know where it got put. So, a month late here's a little blurb on our 4th: During the day we went over to The Yankee Candle Factory where they had a special exhibit of a bunch of baby animals that the kids could pet. Bloved it and he and S were both very excited about their balloons. (These are the pictures I can't find.) At night we went to the fireworks. I was excited because it's the first time in 3 years we've gotten to go. I thought Bwould love them. WRONG. He was completely terrified, but S loved them! Look at the difference in their expressions. And at least from the picture, Nat looks completely bored though I think he enjoyed himself. And I had a terrific time! I love the 4th of July.
