The Littlest Engineer

This picture was taken on a very rare occasion when B was napping and S was not. The two of us had a great time playing trains together. I think S likes the trains as much as B, but gets tired of his big brother telling him when and where he can drive his trains. I love that happy smile! He's such a darling little boy. (Lately he's taken to saying "No monsieur!" whenever he doesn't want to do something. It's so stinking cute!)

Ginger Bread House

We have some kind friends who felt bad for our boys being stuck in the house most of the time, so they came over and made a ginger bread house and gingerbread cookies with the boys. They sure loved it!

Decorating the Tree

And here we are decorating the tree for Family Home Evening. It was really fun and I was quite excited because setting up the tree and listening to Christmas music was N's idea this year! It's usually mine. =)

Shoveling the Driveway

N and B went outside to shovel the driveway. When I peeked outside, I didn't see any shoveling but I saw a snowman being built! I love that N will make time to play with his kids! (And yes, they shoveled the driveway as well.) These are just the shots I was able to get through the window.

Making Cookies

We had so much fun making sugar cookies. My friend, Sarah, and her son, Brandon came and joined us. The boys loved it, and amazingly we didn't have too big of a mess! S really got into it. He just kept scooping out spoonfuls of frosting and eating it! When the other two boys got bored and went to play, S stayed on his chair at the counter, cutting out cookies and eating frosting. It was a great activity!

Petit Papa Noel

I found a clip of this song "Petit Papa Noel" that N told me he always remembered his dad singing to him at Christmas time. It's a really pretty song, but this is a techno-version. Strange, but actually pretty cool. The boys loved it. They asked for it over and over and over again and they'd just dance! Of course they didn't dance as much when I got out the video camera, but I still thought it was totally cute.

So Sweet

B is a very cute little boy. Whenever he's cold he just gets himself a pair of socks and a hat. Pretty smart. Just knows what he needs to warm up. I came into his room to kiss him goodnight and found him fast asleep in his little hat. So sweet!

Cute Stories

There's a little girl B's class at church who I think likes him. She's always smiling at him and I've heard her whispering to her Mom and Dad about him a few different times in sacrament meeting. Last Sunday she walked over to B, stood in front of him with this funny little smile, put her hands on her hips and did a little shimmy dance. She was wearing a little striped sweater dress with a hood. What was B's reaction? He starts giggling "Look Pa! She's wearing a Santa outfit! Why's that girl in a Halloween costume?" Then he laughs and laughs. I don't think that was the reaction she was looking for, but it was really quite funny.

Our boys love band-aids. I don't know how many boxes they've wasted. B wanted one this morning because he got a spider bite. So, of course, S needed one too. I put one on S's little head where he told me to and he had this very indignant look on his face and said, "Spiderman bit me! Spiderman bit me!" I think it's so funny he even knows who Spiderman is. B has a shirt that he inherited from someone, but it's rarely worn and they've never seen Spiderman before. I thought it was sweet.

We were eating lunch the other day when S said "Read scriptures to me. Read me, Mom. Pease? Scriptures. Temples." So cute!

Let it Snow

It snowed. Before we moved here we were told we were moving to a mild climate that usually didn't see snow. When we got here the locals laughed. Of course it snows! So, our boys were thoroughly delighted to wake up Sunday morning to snow. We had a wonderful 15 minutes playing in it. Yes, only 15 minutes. A freezing north wind was blowing in off the ocean. They didn't object to coming inside and having a nice warm bath! And they were satisfied that they'd gotten to play in it. Since then we haven't been out. It's turned to pure ice! So inside we stay--except my poor sweetheart who has to go to work in it every day. Last night he came home sooo tired and cold. He'd been shoveling ice and snow so the planes could land at work! They were already 6 hours late
Look at S face! He looks like he's on a mission to get someone!

So happy.

This boy has quite a good arm. He can make that snowball fly!

Two Little Indians

The boys have been really into using glue sticks and cutting with scissors so I thought we'd do a project appropos to the season. S was taking a nap while B and I made the first hat. B was so excited about it that as soon as his brother woke up he ran to him and asked "Do you want to make a hat too?" S takes a little while to thoroughly wake up, so his original response was no, but after a while he wanted a hat too. They wore their hat's for about 5 hours and I had to promise them that they could have their faces painted again in the morning before they'd let me wash them off in the tub!

"Upon the Rock"

B learned the song "The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock" in primary and has been going around the house singing all 4 verses. It's been so cute! Last night he asked me, "Mom, why did the wise man build his house upon the rock?" I opened my mouth to answer and before I could say anything he pointed to the painting of Jesus on our living room wall and said with a big smile "Because Jesus Christ is the rock!" I was so impressed that such a little guy could understand that. I love my little ones and I love that they love Jesus!

Fishing with Grandpa video

Fishing with Grandpa

S got tired of waiting for his brother's pole to get rigged up and tried to go fish on his own!

B was scared of the night-crawlers, but not S. He grabbed one and ran off chasing the ducks with his worm.

My dad showing N how to rig the pole.

Little hikers

Concentrating so hard!

The boys decided to have a snack before feeding the ducks!

Trick or Treat

And here are some pictures from the trunk-or-treat at church. I got a bunch of blurred night pictures, but I finally got a few to work! We all had a good time and S had his whole mouth stuffed with 3 different types of candy. He tried hard to eat it all at once!

Painting Pumpkins

Nat suggested we paint the pumpkins this year rather than carving them so that 2 crazy boys would be a little safer and they'd also be able to be more involved. It worked out great. They had a terrific time as you can see by B's face! He kept calling them "fire pumpkins." Sweet little S got his pumpkin all painted then got a baby wipe and washed it off! He had to start all over again. He would've washed it a 2nd time if I hadn't stopped him!

Grandpa's visit

My dad came to visit. It was awesome to have him here. The kids adored the grandpa and had the best time. This video is of the first little bit he was here. He had doughnuts with the boys, we went to a state park where they played on the playground equipment and then we went down to this gorgeous waterfall. I have to admit it scared me to death to have the boys so close to such big, fast running water, but we had a great time!

Play Dough

B went to swimming lessons with his Papa and I asked S what he wanted to do. Without hesitation he said "Play Dough!" and did what we call S's "Woohoo Dance." I wish I could get it video taped. It's so funny he starts singing "Woohoo! Woohoo!" and dancing with his hands over his head. He's so darling. He and I had a great time with the play dough. (Don't miss our family picture post just below!)

I love how he puckers his lips when he's concentrating hard. It's so funny!

Family Pictures

Here is our attempt at family pictures. I couldn't get the boys to look half of the time, but I thought we did pretty well.

I'm not overly fond of having pictures of myself taken while pregnant, but I've tried to ignore my vanity, my swollen nose, and the fact that my make-up always melts off!
