Opening Gifts

Christmas morning was really nice.  The kids slept in till 7:30.  Not too bad for a Christmas morning!    They were so cute and excited.  We just spent the whole day hanging out and playing together.  It was really nice.

For some reason E didn't like opening gifts.  She loved them in the paper, but she got upset about unwrapping them!

 Nat looks so tired.

E loved her Belle pajamas and everyone's candy.  She was busy raiding everyone's stockings and stuffing everything she could into her mouth while everyone else was opening gifts.

Captain America.  S's most favorite.  He wore that outfit for 3 days straight before he let me wash it.

S opening the gift B got for him.  B was so proud.

Look at that happy princess!

Christmas Eve

Hooray for the first time since I met N (and actually the first time in 14 years for him) that he wasn't working Christmas Eve and on-call Christmas Day!  We had so much fun.  We went grocery shopping in the morning for our Christmas dinner, N took the boys out in the afternoon so I could get the gifts all wrapped for once without locking them out of my room and wondering what they were up to out there, we took family pictures (Hooray!  Mommy's favorite part), N made fajitas for dinner, we watched a movie of the birth of Christ, and then we watched Rabbi Jacob (a French comedy )  Wonderful Christmas Eve!  I love my family!  I'm so glad Heavenly Father blessed me with them!

November and December Misc. Doings

Lots of pictures so keep scrolling down!!!

SHOPPING WITH GRANDMA
The kids had fun grocery shopping with Grandma and getting spoiled rotten, filling their cart with whatever they wanted.  (Mom and Dad were spoiled too.)

TRISTAN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY
I only had my phone camera and N wasn't able to come, so I didn't get very many or very good pictures, but the kids had a great time.  E was in heaven.  She loved the trampolines.  The boys loved the ball pit.  Poor B couldn't do many of the activities with his newly broken arm.  I let him jump in the Styrofoam pit, then he got stuck and couldn't get out so I jumped in and got stuck too.  Hmmm. Had to get a gymnast to get him out.  S went from one thing to another.  The kids had a great time.  I was a little stressed watching three kids run in different directions--One too little for most of the equipment and another with a broken arm who shouldn't be on most of the equipment!

 S's CLASS WINTER PARTY
And the PTO puts on a party for each class.  S's party was especially fun.  They've been doing a unit on the three little pigs, so we did a three little pigs puppet show for them and then they built their own "brick" house (ginger bread houses).  S's turned out pretty cute.  And the kids all sang for the parents.  E didn't like sitting through it, but once she got a cup full of candy and fruit she was happy. B's class had a party too.  N attended that one, and I don't think he took any pictures, but B came home very excited about his party as well.

 AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM
S's class had a family party.  Everyone got free admission to the Air and Space Museum.  So cool!  Had a great time.

CAST SIGNED
B was really excited to have his cast signed by all of his classmates (Except Isah who was in Dubai.  B was so worried that Isah was sick he had me check with his mom to make sure they really were on vacation.)  Check out the Green and pink.  His two favorite colors!

Broken Arm and E Love

E snuggling B on the couch while he told her all about his hurt arm and to not bump it please.

S on the floor as close to B as he could get.

 Everyone loving on B

B's teachers and classmates made him get-well cards and sent them home with S along with a bag of goodies.  S wanted to be just like B.  He had Papa make him his own cast and kept his arm up, sat on the couch with B and told me he couldn't take a bath 'cause he was going to get his cast wet!

E loving on S.  I couldn't decide which picture was cuter so I put them both up

We had an exciting or not so exciting few days, depending on how you want to look at it.  S had had a cold and had been doing better for a few days.  So, we sent him back to school and Friday night we had a play date with some of our friends at the park after school.  S came up to me crying that his leg hurt and he stopped playing with the kids.  The next morning he scared me to death screaming from his bed for somebody to come and get him he couldn't get out of bed by himself, he couldn't walk.  Took him to the doctor (who amazingly waived the bill on the way out!) who was afraid it was a bacterial infection in his hip socket.  So S and N got an all day visit to the hospital down town.  Thankfully it was not a bacterial infection!!!!  Strangely, the remainder of his cold virus had settled in his hip socket.  So, they told us not to let him walk on it for at least 4 days.

So, Monday S was home with me and E and we were  spending the morning watching movies and reading books, trying to keep him from getting up.  He was so determined he would even slither on his belly to get something he wanted by himself.  B had been at school about 2 hours when I got a phone call from the school that B had fallen off the playground equipment and they thought he had broken his wrist!  I could hear my poor baby crying in the background.  I started to bawl.  Thankfully, N was only a few minutes away from school so I called him and he went and took B to the doctor.  It was 3 hours before they even gave the poor kid any pain killers.  Every time N would call sweet B was crying in the background.  Broke my heart!  I can't imagine how N felt!  One time N let B talk to me and he said, "Hi Mommy.  I hurt my arm really bad.  Is E there?  Does E want to talk to me?" Turns out B snapped his wrist completely in half and broke part of another bone.  They had to sedate him to put it back in place.  The one bone had moved on top of his other bones and it took them over a half hour to get it moved!  He was really swollen, so he had to have a temporary cast for a week.  As soon as he came home I wanted to hold him, "I love you Mommy.  Does E want me?  I want E."  This little angel girl is all compassion.  When the kids are hurt or sad they want E!  He was miserable for about 27 hours, then he FINALLY fell asleep for about 3 hours.  After that he started to feel better.  After a week he went back and got a GREEN cast, his favorite color and he was so happy to return to school yesterday.  Next week they will do X-rays and re-cast and we will find out how many weeks he's in this itchy cast!

Fishing Again

Cousin Kamille wanted to go fishing like her cousins had done, so we had a little fishing outing.  The kids had a lot of fun although no one caught anything!  Afterwards Grandma and Grandpa Gene took everyone out to Chuck-E-Cheese.  I didn't take pictures there--too busy chasing kids around.  =)  It was a fun day.

B explaining to Kamille how to fish

E found a stick and was pretending to fish too!

S was perfectly happy fishing with his stick.  We only had 2 poles, but when it was his turn he said "No thank you, I have a pole already."

Have you ever seen anything cuter???

E decided to give S a massage while he was fishing.  It tickled.
