Our sweet S turned 4! Our little man at 4 loves Captain America and the Avengers, Transformers, Star Wars, any and all sports, riding his bike, climbing on everything and can sit and do art projects for hours on end. The first day of school after the Christmas break happened to be S's birthday. He was not happy to school on his birthday, so we arranged for Papa to go and have lunch and recess with him. But S kept saying that he wasn't going that he was giong to have a tummy ache on his birthday. He woke up so happy, had his breakfast, wanted to know if all "my kids from school" were going to have a party with him then when it was time to go announced that he had a tummy ache. Of course, we didn't believe him. Half way to school he threw up all over the car. Still, he has done that before when he doesn't want to do something (this kid is super sweet but he is also super stubborn) so N changed his clothes and took him to school anyway. He had a fabulous time. All the kids sang to him, he got to wear a special birthday hat (that apparently his friend Selim was jealous about and threw on the floor at recess. S was not happy about that.) About 2 hours into school I was at the library with E and some friends when the school called and said S had had diarrhea 3 times! Oops! He really was sick. N came to get him, but S insisted that N still have lunch and recess with him first so he did. I guess at that point all the kids had already been exposed, right? What's an extra hour? Poor kid came home and was so sick he just layed around watching TV (which is weird for him) and throwing up. He couldn't even eat his birthday cake. It was 7 days before he finally got better! B caught it half way through the week but was only sick for 2 days and E is on day 6 now. Poor babies! Poor me and N! We are sooooo stinking tired! S LOVED his Star Wars figurines though and there have been battles and obstacle courses all over our house!
Poor guy, he was so excited about his cake with the spider web on it and he never ate a single bite.
Really tearing into it!
Love that happy face! He's been wanting those Star Wars figurines for a really long time!
Whenever we go to someone's house E loves the Barbie dolls. She doesn't have any of her own. So she has adopted the boys' Avenger dolls. Here is is so pleased to be in possession of Iron Man. She carried him around and patted him like her baby all night. It was really cute.
Miserable little angel with a fever asleep in her bed after trying to get her pj's off. Poor thing had snot all over her face. She's been getting her back molars in the middle of it all too! Flu, croup, double ear infection and teething!
