When we first got here we had hoped that there would be some Down Syndrome family get togethers so we could meet some other families in the area. They have some awesome forums and BIG events, but didn't have any family get togethers. I asked around a little bit and a lot of people thought it was a good idea. A few families started up a great group, but they are totally on the opposite side of the city from us. So I asked if anyone on our side of town wanted to do the same. So, this was our first party. Our new friends were Jason--who is blind, but speaks perfectly clearly!--Caden, and Trinity. After the party B said, "Mom I looked and looked for other kids with Down Syndrome and I didn't find anybody. They were all the same as me." Love it!
