Proof that Life Isn't Picture Perfect

I had great plans to take blue bonnet pictures (or bleu bonnets as B insists we pronounce it) for our first spring in the land of the famed flowers. S and E were dressed nice and E's hair was oh so cute, we planned to take pictures right after we picked up B from school. I'd found the perfect field of them on the drive home. But that afternoon the tornadoes hit. Instead S, E and I spent 3 hours hiding in the dark in a closet, B in the school kitchen and N in the break-room at work. It was scary being all separated like that. It broke my heart when we finally got a hold of the school and got our B back. He said he was crying during the storm. I asked if it was because he was scared, he said "Because I thought you were dead! What would me and Papa do if we came home and you were dead! We would've been so sad! Mommy next time there's a tornado can I please be with you?" Then he started bawling again. So did I. Poor guy.

But back to the bleu bonnets. The next time I planned to take pictures S painted himself with my makeup right before I had to leave to pick up B so there was no chance to clean him up, E wouldn't let me do her hair and I forgot B spare shirt. So, here are some very, very cute pictures though they prove that life isn't picture perfect, but I think it's pretty darn good! There are quite of few of E because she was the only one who'd hold still.

I thought it was cute the way he was holding her, but of course they sat in the dirt not the flowers

Adorable, but scared of the bees--understandably

The perfect picture. Oh wait, except for Mommy's make up all over his face.

Naturally they all wanted to sit on top of each other and I couldn't get all three of them to look at me at the same time.

Again, scared of the bees.

Aw, sweet big brother.

Love this picture, but then there's the hole where B had been sitting. =)

Eating the flowers.

Pretty good shot by B of Mommy. First time I'd seen the blue bonnets since my mission 13 years ago.
