Field Day

It was so cool, B's school had a field day and invited families to come cheer their kids on. It was awesome! Each year the school picks a "country theme." This year it happened to be France. How cool is that? We had so much fun watching him and he had a great time participating. It was a little hard for S watching all the kids doing fun things and not being able to join in, but he hung in there pretty well! At the end the kids all got popsicles and the teachers made sure S got one too so that was really nice. Then when school let out there was a movie night with pizza and cookies. S and E loved being able to join in then! Though E ate all of our food then went around begging for and stealing other people's food!

He won his first challenge! His class was the last to get T-shirts so they went ahead and started without!

So excited. Finally got his T-shirt and his obstacle course sticker sheet.

Watching

I love it. B called this the "Icicle tower toss."

This was his favorite race. We did have a sad moment where two kids decided to bully him and not let him use the bikes. He had only one turn when the others had four or five, so he ran to me crying. Broke my heart, but his teacher saw him crying and let him have another ride all by himself. He cheered right up.

Cheering their teammates on!

My chef loved this race, though I'm not so sure sharing chef hats was the best plan since lice had been going around the school only a week before. Thankfully, his head is clean!

Trying to get over the fence and ride those tricycles too!

The sand dig. He dug up a frisbee that he got to take home!

Still watching

And here is our acrobat, who finally had enough of watching and not playing!

Wow! what a fun field day! I wish I got to do stuff like that when I was little. It sounds like he is really enjoying this school.
