N had the week between Christmas and New Years off for the first time EVER. We were so excited to have him around it was awesome. We decided to go to the rodeo. It seemed like a Texas thing to do and there was a special Christmas extravaganza. It was kind of late for the kids but they had so much fun. I loved watching the boys jumping up and down and yelling "Here come the cowboys!" B was wide eyed and yelling with excitement from the first minute. S was a little sleepy at first (he fell asleep on the drive over) but when he woke up he was just as excited as B. E, as usual was all smiles and happiness. The boys absolutely loved the team roping and were jumping up and down every time they successfully lassoed a little longhorn. They weren't overly thrilled about the cowboys on the bucking horses, which I have to admit surprised me but they were freaking out of excitement when they rode the bucking bulls though B was watching through his fingers yelling "They might fall off! They might get killed before my eyes!" And they LOVED the cowgirl barrel racing. For some reason they found it quite thrilling that they were GIRLS. Perhaps I'm in trouble? We had a great time.
