The layout of this post is a little strange. But our littlest man had his 3rd birthday this month. He was so excited. As soon as he saw the Christmas lights going up around the neighborhood he said "That means it's my birthday soon Mom!" and he and B figured out how to count down the days on the calendar. I love that B was as excited over his brother's birthday as he was his own. We weren't sure until only 2 days before if N was going to have to work that Saturday or not and I didn't dare throw a full blown birthday party without him even though S had been asking for friends at his birthday. But his friend's Nathan and Jared joined us for a Chuck E Cheese party with the last minute notice. S was so happy. He threw his arms around my neck and said "Thank you Mom! Now I can show Nathan my birthday cake!" I think all the kids had a great time going around with their tokens and playing games and I'm so glad Papa didn't have to work. It made S birthday so much better.
I thought it was so funny that S climbed right up on the game and threw the balls from where he was sure he wouldn't miss! Gotta love the beauty pageant wave from the monster truck too! When he saw the Lightning McQueen candle at the party store we had a last minute request to make a Lightning McQueen cake instead of a "Tool Cake." When he discovered his cake was mostly green with no blue on it he became very upset. Green is B's favorite color and blue is his. He thought I'd made the cake for B. Luckily I had not yet written "Happy Birthday" so I did that in blue and it saved the day. He loved his cake.

He was so funny about presents. He's like his Mom. Really excited it's his day, loves the presents, but not sure how to feel about being the total center of attention. Love the "Woohoo!" dance.
The tool station was the thrill of his life. He normal begs not to sleep in his room at night, but when this moved in he wanted to sleep in his room with his tools! Hooray! (Got even better when a few days later a Bob the Builder quilt made by Grandma arrived. Now the birthday boy loves his room!)
So, my baby boy is 3 years old. He wears size 5T. I've got another tall man in the family. He is the sweetest, silliest and sometimes craziest kid out there (but he's quiet and he'd fool you if you didn't know.) He loves to do acrobats and loves to pretend he is building or fixing something all the time. And we're so glad he still likes to cuddle, though you've got to catch him early in the morning or when he's really tired at night, because he's too busy to just sit down and do nothing. He'll do anything to please his big brother and we often find him dragging baby sister around with him. "E wants to be with me. She likes me. Her wants to come with me to my office." (His office is our walk-in-closet.) He's a great kid with an easy smile. Happy Birthday little guy! We love you so much!
