I got a Groupon for a cut and color or highlights. I thought it would be fun to get red highlights. I told the hairdresser what I wanted and she said, "No, your hair is too dry. I think we should do a full color." I told her I didn't want a full color, just red highlights please. "Um, I don't think you'll look very good with red highlights. I think we should do gold, bronze, or caramel " No, I want red highlights. "Okay, fine. Fine, whatever you want. We'll do red." Good. After all it's my hair and I'm the one paying, right? So, she said she had to bleach a few strands which took forever, then told me to come over to the sink to wash my hair. She then faced me away from the mirror to cut and style it and when she turned me around the whole front and top of my hair were RED, not highlighted and the back was still all black. Awesome, huh? So, apparently I have red hair, whether I like it or not. I wasn't very happy. But N had already been with the kids for 4 hours at this point so I had to go home. Awesome, huh? N thought it was hilariously funny. I on the other hand was horribly embarrassed Whenever I look in the mirror I remind myself of those Eastern European ladies I used to see in Jerusalem with their fake red hair, 7 inch heels and black spandex. (I of course, am not in heels or spandex. Thank goodness!) However; B thought it was the best hair ever and asked me to keep it that way--red and straight--forever!
B and S took turns taking pictures of me. They LOVE having a turn to use the camera. Minus the red crazy hair, the pictures didn't turn out too badly!
