N's been in charge of some truck rodeo at work. Apparently drivers from different companies all over the U.S. compete and then go to some national championship. Amazingly 3 of the 8 drivers going from our state are also from his station. Anyway, this rodeo has taken him away from us for 6 Saturdays in a row. No fun. But last time we finally got to join him. They had a booth for kids with little toys and prizes and N did face painting for all the kids. He was actually pretty good at it! They also had hula-hoops and I watched N taking pictures of the kids, but for some reason there are no hula-hooping pictures on the camera. Hmmm. We were looking forward to going with him on a long weekend to the state truck rodeo, and naturally at the last minute after taking him away from us for 6 weekends in a row his company decided to save money by not sending him to State. Nice. The only perk in the deal and they took it away. Oh, well. At least he doesn't have to work weekends anymore--we hope!
