Buddy Walk and Primary Program

Sunday was a good day. We started off the morning with B's first primary program at church. He was so excited to get to speak at the microphone and to sing for us! (We had a hard time keeping S from following him up there.) The kids all started singing and B realized he didn't know the song, looked at me burst into tears and came running back down the aisle and threw himself into my arms. "I don't know the song! Teach it to me right now please!" It was so sad. Then he decided he was going to sing "Scripture Power" to me and went running back up there. Throughout each and every song, no matter what the other kids were singing our B was happily singing "Scripture power! Keeps us safe from sin!" Sweet and funny. Then he got his turn to say something in the microphone, literally shouted out his part and ran back down the aisle, threw himself into my arms again "Mommy! I did it!" Yes, our kids is "that kid." But he's so stinking cute!

After church we went to our first Down Syndrome Buddy Walk and had a wonderful time. The weather was absolutely perfect and there were lots of bounce toys and carnival games so the boys had a blast. I think sweet little E knew she was with "people like her" because she'd stare and stare at the other D.S. kids then laugh and clap like crazy. It was so darling. Sunday was a great day!
