Do you ever look back at your life and say "What was I thinking???" I was recently reminiscing to Nat and found that some of my most favorite memories leave me saying just that. If you have a moment to read here are just a few:
1. Three of my cousins and I planned a road trip to Argentina. A road trip! Didn't cross any of our minds that we probably wouldn't make it through Mexico. We would've gone through with it too if all 3 of our fathers hadn't have said "Oh no you're not!"
2. Went hiking in the Golan Heights on the Syrian/Israeli border in sandals. Got lost. Ended up tumbling down a mountain side and riddled with thorns only to find out that we were in an old mine field and all the old mines had not been exploded. Luckily we did not kill ourselves, but one friend did end up with a dislocated knee cap.
3. Went to NYC. Got a hotel in Queens. Stayed out till 1:00 a.m. at a Broadway play and had to go through Brooklyn and Queens in the middle of the night.
4. Again, out at a play until 1:00 a.m. This time in London with my sister. Didn't realize the subway and train stations had closed. Didn't have the phone # or address of our hotel over 35 minutes away so we couldn't get a taxi and it was pouring rain. Luckily a nice and not psycho man showed us where to catch the last and only train of the night back to Surry. Got off at the wrong station. Wandered around in the dark for almost an hour before finding our hotel.
5. Two roommates and I spontaneously decided to go camping in our car. It was April - - in Idaho. None of us realized that there was snow in the mountains. Not one of us was even wearing a coat. When we discovered the snow we decided to "go sledding" on our bottoms. Totally lost control and went cart wheeling down the mountain side. Luckily did not go flying over a cliff in the dark or smash into a pine tree.
Very fun memories. But like I said before, do you ever wonder "What the heck was I thinking?"

What a fun post! It's fun to hear your stories and it makes me think of some of my own. You're so fun!
now that you mention it... i TOTALLY do. that's funny to hear some of the things you did:)
I'm afraid I'm boring and sensible. Next time you go on one of your trips, take me and teach me to be crazy.
