Helping Hands
Here are some pictures of B, my helpful little cutie. Dishes are still his favorite but these are some of the other things he likes to help me do.
B loves to help me practice the piano. I am the primary pianist in our ward and we recently had a primary program. B would climb up in my lap and flip through the Primary book and point out which song I was supposed to play. Pretty soon he'd boot me off the bench and would be playing and singing on his own!
Here's my little chef. He was making the crust for meat pies. I keep him in his high chair to avoid having him get hurt. He's a little monkey that climbs up on everything, so this is the best way to avoid him doing something dangerous like climbing up on the stove to check out a hot frying pan or something like that.
Another favorite of his is the laundry. He pushes the laundry baskets down the hall for me and parks them right outside the door of the laundry room. He then passes the clothes out to me while I put them in the washer then heads back down the hall with the empty basket and returns it to the closet. Such a smart little helper! I did not teach him to do that. He just did it on his own.
Another cooking shot. B loved making bread. He put every ingredient in the bowl himself (except the hot milk) and stirred it until it got too thick. When he saw me kneading the bread he just had to try. Though his hands weren't exactly strong enough his kneading technique was perfect. He had a ball. I'm sure you can tell by the happy smile and the flour all over his sweet little face.

what a doll! i love that age when they are so eager to help, and not so opinionated! I love the baking bread shot...he's for sure a Petersen! i bet his rolls taste better than mine!
He's so cute! He can come help me do my laundry any day.
WOW!!! he is getting so big!!! we love and miss you guys and hope to see you sometime soon
kari he is adorable! he's such a sweetheart. i bet he just makes it so fun to be a stay at home mom! =) we love and miss you!
What a sweet heart. I am sure he makes your heart melt.
What great pictures. He is so adorable and such a good helper. Laney likes to make the messes more than she likes to help clean them up.
See, it's good that you document his helping hands. That way, when he's a teenager and arguing that he hates chores and always has, you will have the perfect response.
What an adorable boy! I really hope we get to see you someday soon. So bummed, still, that we didn't end up connecting this summer.
Hugs,
Sarah
