A Funny Story
B is a really funny kid. Some of you have read that B says "Attack." He learned it in relation to kiss attacks from his daddy. The other day we stopped by Nat's office. Nat was working at his computer and I had a drink from McDonalds. B just had to play with the straw. All of the sudden he draws the straw like a sword, points it straight at Nat's head and yells "Attat!!!!" at the top of his lungs. Three of Nat's co-workers came running and popped their heads into the office to see what the noise was all about. It was too funny! Especially since he's never seen or pretended sword fights or any type of "attack" but kiss attacks, but he knew exactly what it meant. He's such a funny little smartie pants!

He's a total boy...just wait until he starts to say, "mom, look" and produces a fart! gross.
Cute, Kari. He is such a sweet and fun boy. Karina still talks about his hugs.
Your story reminded me of this fact: My Curtis started singing his first song (inspired by his older brothers, I am sure). He sings the Imperial March from Star Wars! Darth Vader's song! Okay, so it has no words, but he sings it just like the boys: dun, dun, dun-ta-dun etc.
Hilarious to hear a one-year-old do this with his light saber in hand.
Love you. -Kenna
Nature or nurture? ...
Eva visited a boy about her age the other day and he got her hunting elk ("First we have to buy a license, and then we can only shoot one") and playing super heroes. He said, "I'll be Spider Man and you be the Incredible Hulk," and Eva said, "No way!" until the boy told her that the Hulk was so strong that he could "punch through a mountain." Then she was all over it.
Both my girls also love Star Wars and swords and that theme song -- they never sang it at Curtis' age, though ... wish I could hear it.
