Happy Birthday Nat!

Friday was Nat's birthday. He had quite the busy day at work. For his birthday, I received a surprise baby shower from the ladies at the library. That was really cool. Being so far away from family, we weren't really expecting to get a baby shower. Nat was in on the surprise. I was trying to figure out why he wouldn't take work off on his birthday, or at least leave early so we could celebrate. But he later said having the baby shower for me was "the best birthday present" he received. He's a sweetheart. Everyone at the library was so generous and kind to us! Almost everyone came, including people from other departments. It was really fun. So, when I got home Nat got to go through all of our baby gifts with me as well as open his own birthday present, which was a portable CD player for his office. Since it was already 9:30 at night, we planned to do his birthday dinner and blow out the candles on Saturday, but I forgot that I had to work late that night. So, we planned for Sunday instead. Unfortunately, when I went grocery shopping Saturday morning I got completely lost,--I went to some stores I don't normally go to-- made myself late to work, and only had 1/2 the items necessary for the meal. As I had to work till 9:00 Saturday night and couldn't go shopping before Sunday his birthday dinner has once again postponed. But we will be blowing out the candles tonight! We're just spreading out the celebration. Happy Birthday to Nat!
