He's not quite 15 months old yet and he pottied in the toilet today!!! I was in my bedroom when I heard the boys in the bathroom. Bixente yelled "Mom! He's peeing!" So I came into the bathroom and Sebastien had removed his own diaper and was standing in front of the toilet with the lid up. I lifted him up so he could reach the toilet and he went! Good job my cute little man!

Support Libraries
I got this link from my friend Kaylie. Her friend has a special blog for supporting libraries. All you do is click on the link below and leave a comment. For every comment received before March 28th money will be donated to help support and build libraries around the world. Other than your comment you don't commit to anything. I thought it was kind of cool, so if you want to help please leave your comment on that blog (not mine). http://mybignose.blogspot.com/2010/03/you-comment-i-donate-libary-blog.html?showComment=1269648209184_AIe9_BH8ucaUZaizSvre0WNVz8x4D3C5U-bAm1KfrAComPADJupWnfUYLI6l0tkekTagQHjnT24byJpyRyf314Oyscuui5tgQ2R7zfqxgIDKtVlIkcu7kq-kGC82InQ0coagkdCNl3bjieP3MELq-J5FuTDsOJWE-5uH5kmxMg8FvLBW5hM8nxdT-u9Nlf4KSBXM2vz2MGw1KtJm93CjnGjuJvkelmtTMZJ48WBT2qk8LXvtDVSsNPMuJgefJS_3-jVcECGOFiGK#c8077511318087698009

Hard at Work
I love how much my boys like to help. Sebastien loves doing the dishes as much as Bixente does. It's hard to have two chairs in front of the sink, squeeze in myself and actually get some dishes washed (not that Bixente doesn't do pretty darn good), and try to keep the boys from slipping on the chairs that have been splashed with water, but we have fun.

A Miracle
Anyone who's known me long knows that I've had really bad headaches from a neck injury 12 years ago. No one has been able to help me much with it, so I've just learned to live with it, going to the chiropractor occasionally when it got too bad. Nat has insisted that this is the year we're going to take care of me. So he's been taking me to get acupuncture twice a week since the beginning of the year. It's amazing how much that relaxes my neck. He also thought it would be a good idea if we went to the chiropractor and got an adjustment as soon as soon as I left the acupuncturist since that was when I was most relaxed. When I went yesterday there was a new guy there. He did some maneuver on my neck that no one has ever done before (and I've been to countless chiropractors) and that little part of my neck that NEVER goes back in and has been causing all the pain WENT BACK INTO PLACE! I was so amazed. Over the last 2 days I've discovered that not only do I not have a headache, but my jaw is back in place too! And I've had all kinds of retainer contraptions things from TMJ specialists that have never done much. This is truly a miracle. Please pray for me that it will not pop out of place again! Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me over the past several years. I know that a lot of you have.

Very Belated Birthday
I think I mentioned we were on vacation for Sebastien's first birthday. We did a little celebration with his cousin, Eden, but he was really sick and didn't really get to enjoy his cake. We also didn't feel like lugging his birthday gifts all across the country and back again so we planned to do a little family party when we got home. It finally happened, 2 months late . . . Oh, well! Better late then never. The little birthday boy quite enjoyed himself and his brother loves any excuse to blow out candles and eat cake, so it was a fun time.

Masterpieces
With all the sickness we've had inside of our house and all of the bad weather outside, I had to think of something to entertain the boys. So, I went out and bought some paints and brushes and the boys have been having a ball. Whenever Bixente wants to paint he asks me if we can "Do something special." They're very cute.

Going Private
Hey everyone, we are going to make our blog private here in the near future. We will email invitations to view the blog to everyone we have email addresses for. But just in case we don't have your email, please leave a comment with your email or send either Nat or me an email to let us know you'd like to view the blog. I will make sure that any comments you leave with your emails will be seen only by me and will not display on the blog. Thanks everyone!

Walking Pneumonia
We just got back from the doctor. Both boys have walking pneumonia! Nat's on the way to pick up antibiotics. We're praying they'll both get better soon. This is scary. Sebastien is just as miserable as he can be and Bixente is getting there. We'd appreciate any prayers in their behalf.

RSV
Poor Sebastien has been so sick.
It started out like a cold and I wasn't too worried, but by that night he couldn't sleep at all and he moaned and cried and could barely sleep. Nat took him to the doctor in the morning and they said they were pretty sure it was RSV and got him on some breathing treatments. They were good for about an hour and then he'd be wheezing and coughing and crying again. By evening he started coughing up streaks of blood, so it was off to the E.R. He really scared us! Thankfully I have a great visiting teacher who came and picked Bixente up from the E.R. and took him home with her for a few hours so he didn't wait the whole 5 hours at the hospital with us. The hospital staff also gave Sebastien a steroid to help with his lungs. It was funny how he reacted. He went from laying in my arms and crying to standing up on the hospital bed and hitting me with a pillow! He was laughing and yelling "Attack!" He then lost his balance and fell off the bed with no rails. Luckily I managed to catch him by the ankle right before he hit the floor! He scared me to death. He then asked for a drink and ate the crushed ice by the handfuls! He's still pretty miserable, but thanks to a priesthood blessing, the prayers of so many of you and the help of the breathing treatments he is doing better!

If You Enjoy Photography
If you enjoy photography or just looking at the work of someone with a good eye, I think you'll enjoy this website: http://www.clark-imaging.com/ This guy has got some great stuff! In my opinion, the "Nature" and the "Steve's Picks" galleries are the coolest. It's under "Other Work."

A Real Winter!
In all the years we've been here we've seen snow I think a grand total of 3 days. But this year we've had a real winter! We've had snow off and on since November and it's actually been staying on the ground. The boys have had a great time playing out in the snow though they've been house-bound for over a week now with colds.
Sebastien's first time ever playing in the snow! He was having a little bit of trouble getting used to walking in it.
Bixente has been completely thrilled with the snow. If he could we'd be out in it all day every day. What a fun little boy!

We're Grateful for Sausage
Sebastien is using a fork and spoon now and he's doing amazingly well! He's a very coordinated little guy. Anything requiring coordination and physical skill, Sebastien is very good at.
I made sausage and eggs for breakfast for the boys --Bixente loves sausage. It was sooo cute, while I was cooking out of no where he started praying for the first time ever all by himself and he said, "Heavenly Father. Thank thee for Jesus. For sausage! Jesus Christ Amen!" Our little boy was so grateful for sausage that he said his first prayer. It made me so happy.Good Bye
Since about last August, Haylea has been coming twice a week to play with the boys while I cleaned or took a nap, and sometimes she'd help clean too. It was wonderful while it lasted! But Haylea left for Idaho at the end of January. Bixente's been wondering where "My Haylea" is. She told him she was moving to Idaho, "No! You're not moving to Idaho! Where's mine Grandpa?" He remembers his grandparents are in Idaho too and his Haylea just couldn't go there.Tuesday, February 09, 2010
Taking Advantage
A few days ago Bixente failed to take a nap (something he's unfortunately been doing regularly lately.) The result was that by 5:00 at night he fell asleep on the floor with his dinner in front of him and nothing could wake him up. Sebastien as you can see took full advantage of having big brother asleep. He helped himself to all of Bixente's chicken nuggets, if you look in his left hand he's got a little FedEx airplane that both boys love dearly, but Bixente usually monopolizes, and then went and sat in Bixente's little Lightning McQueen couch. This kid knows how to make the most of a rare opportunity!

Pirate Island
My brother and sister-in-law took us to a restaraunt that they have part ownership in. It's called Pirate Island. It's really pretty cool. They have a great play area that looks like part of a ship, the dining areas are kind of like little caves, then there's an arcade which my nephew Collin was absolutely thrilled about. He had this little treasure box completely full of tokens and by the end of the night he didn't have a single one left! He sure was excited though. The arcade obviously was a little old for Bixente and Sebastien but Collin's enthusiasm and willingness to share his tokens with his cousins was contagious, so Nat had to go and play a few games with the boys.
Aunt Shannon and Collin who was literally jumping up and down while waiting for his mom to get the game started! Sweet little guy cried when we left, "But I thought you were having a sleep-over with me!" He broke my heart. Bixente's been asking for Collin ever since.

Sebastien's First Birthday!
Sweet little Sebastien turned one while we were in Utah! I can't believe it's already been a year. He is such a darling. We're so happy to have him. I love seeing him play with his big brother. They're always together. Sebastien is a very affectionate and cuddly little man. He is also quite independent. He comes and gives hugs and kisses then heads off to do whatever he pleases. He's also very determined. If he's told no, well he'll just keep right on trying to do whatever it is you've stopped him from doing (usually climbing on something.) He walks very well, he likes to draw and amazingly holds the pencil correctly, he loves to paint and eat the paints, and he likes to play with his piggy bank. Sebastien's not a big talker he's much more into physical things but so far he says Mom, Papa, Dada, Attack, Jesus, Get down (can you tell he's heard that a lot?), bath, tree, no, done and he'll also say "down" if he wants to get up.
For Sebastien's birthday we met up with Uncle Mathieu and Kamille for breakfast at Denny's then joined Aunt Shannon, Collin and Eden (who's first birthday it also was) to swim at this awesome pool in Lehi. It was great fun, but I didn't have a water camera so no pictures! The kids were totally exhausted when we were done.
Sebastien with his birthday balloon. We celebrated with cousin Eden. Sadly as soon as we walked in the door Sebastien threw up all over the foyer. Within 40 minutes I was feeling sick too. We thought we'd gotten food poisoning at lunch, but ended up passing the flu to everyone we saw. Sorry everyone!
Eden and Sebastien with their birthday bibs from Aunt Jacquelyn and their cakes from Aunt Shannon. Poor little Sebastien was too sick to eat his. Bixente was delighted to help out.
Our birthday boy!
The lighting is a little bad, but I need to be in some pictures sometimes too. There we are, Sebastien and Mommy feeling miserable. We didn't make it back to Salt Lake before I threw up on the side of the road. Nat spent the rest of the night taking care of Sebastien while I slept in front of the toilet throwing up every 15 minutes for 13 hours. It was pure misery.
