We also did a neighborhood trick-or-treat for the first time ever! It was so fun to have friends to go with.

The Simple Joys

I love the simple joys of life such as:

Playing Indian with a bow Mommy made

Holding your baby girl

Playing in a net

Playing tag with Papa

Climbing at the park

Being able to hold a bottle by yourself

Getting your picture taken because you're too darn cute to resist

A red hat, a football jersey and a sock to use as a glove

Life is GOOD!

Scentsy Wickless Candles and Warmers

I have found myself to be quite in love with Scentsy's wonderful smelling wickless candles and their beautiful candle warmers. My favorite thing about Scentsy is the wax is actually made of non-toxic food ingredients so if a child accidentally swallows any they won't be poisoned and you can actually put your hand in the wax and it doesn't burn you, so I don't have to be utterly paranoid about my kids pulling the warmer over and burning their skin off. The warmers themselves have a fire prevention mechanism that prevents them from exceeding a certain temperature. Personally, I think the fragrances smell awesome and there are tons of beautiful decorative warmers to choose from. The Halloween Festivities Begin

Nat took a wonderful week of vacation and we started it out with trunk-or-treating. The boys were so excited they could hardly wait til nighttime. They got up at 3:30 that morning and wouldn't go back to bed. I was greeted with two huge smiles from two darling little boys holding their trick or treating buckets "Mom! It's trick-or-treat day!" It was very adorable. Our friends Holly, Armaro & Andre joined us but left early so we didn't get pictures with the little sea captains. Papa painted the boys faces and E loved going around with Papa. She was particularly delighted with her lolly-pop. It was a fun night.

I was so pleased, E was sucking on her lolly-pop and I asked her to show it to me and she did! She popped it right out of her mouth and waved it around for a minute and put it right back in.

Our Home-made Pinata

We do a play date once a week with another family with two boys. Their mom and I try to have a little activity for them to do each time, just in case they want something more to do than play with toys. We thought it would be fun to make a home-made-pinata then have a costume party for Halloween. So, here are B & S working on their pinata. We just used an old box then put crumpled up tissue paper on it. Turned out pretty good! They all had such fun with the pinata. B especially loved the suckers and S liked the gum. B yelled "Thanks Mom for doing such a good job getting us lolly-pops!" as soon as the pinata was broken. It was really cute.

Poor little E wasn't have too much fun. She was tired and crying her head off (a rare thing) because no one was holding her while the boys were hitting the pinata. I just had to make sure no one was getting hit by the bat! They were so excited they kept stepping in each others way.

Nine Months

And here we have our angel E at nine months old. Isn't she a cutie? She was working on sitting up straight. Since this picture was taken last week she has mastered it and can sit up straight for quite a long time playing with toys, reading books or talking to her brothers. She scoots all over the house now. She hasn't quite figured out crawling yet, but she was up on all fours rocking back and forth the other day! E is quite the explorer. She doesn't miss a thing! I just have to remember to keep all the bathroom doors shut now! E has amazed us with being able to say quite a few things:

She nods her head "yes" quite vigorously and says "Mmhh.
And she waives bye-bye.

She's our almost always happy princess and she loves, loves, loves to give hugs and snuggle. She makes the cutest little purring sound when she's happy! We love you E!

Sleepy Time

Snuggle time with Mom and then time to sleep. Hooray! Now Mommy can read her book.

E's First Haircut

E's crazy mow-hawk hair finally grew out but it was uneven and hanging in her sweet little eyes. I finally decided to get brave and cut it. The boys were great helpers. B took a picture of us, so we'd have a picture of E's first haircut. And they both held one of her hands to keep her from grabbing at the scissors. Overall, it turned out pretty well.

Cuties

Cute kids hanging out. B was so very proud to feed his baby sister her bottle all by himself. E is army crawling like a champ. She heads straight for her brothers everytime we put her down. She exhausted herself pulling herself from the living room to their room, but she heard them laughing and was determined to join in the fun. E tried to stand up and hang onto their bunk-bed when she made it in there. She stood there for a minute or two playing with B but her little hands are so small and she's still not quite strong enough so she toppled over fairly soon.

The Artist Hat

B is such a handsome little man. He's found Nat's red hat again recently. He calls it his artist hat, and wears it everywhere. He's just as excited about it now as he was when he was tiny and found it. He wore it all over then too.

On the Stove!

Well, I got brave. I decided to let the boys cook ON the stove! I stayed very close. They did great and they were sooo excited about it. S told his Papa all about it when he got home from work, and he told Grandma and Grandpa when he talked to them on the phone a week later. We were making little meat patties and our little cuties did it ALL by themselves. They cooked the hamburger and spices, mixed the bread dough, rolled out the dough with rolling pins, and I got brave again and let them cut out the squares themselves! (They used butter knives. Nothing sharp.) The squares were surprisingly even and close to the same size. I wasn't expecting that! They then filled up the squares with meat themselves, pinched them shut and put them on the pan. The only thing Mom had to do for dinner that night was over-see and make sure everyone was safe and actually put them in the oven to bake. Way to go boys!

S was concentrating so hard on keeping the knife straight and B can't keep a straight face for a picture lately.
